Derek J. Dickow
Derek is the founder of Steward Media, a metro Detroit-based public and political relations firm. He is known as a power connector to organizations and community leaders throughout Southeast Michigan. Derek lists several members of city council, mayors, state representatives, senators, judges, and presidential candidates among his client base, and is most proud of his fundraising abilities for local charities.
He and his team have generated millions of dollars in support of worthy causes. He has attended thousands of networking events over the years and is considered a “master of networking.” Because of his incredible ability to connect, Derek and his team have produced their own networking events, bringing value to various industries. Derek’s passion is assisting his clients build relationships with key leaders, and because of his expertise in networking; he saves his clients time and money.
He serves the community as a board member of the Local Development Finance Authority of the Detroit Economic Growth Corporation, Troy Community Foundation, Chaldean American Chamber of Commerce where he co-chairs the Political Action Committee, and Leaders for Kids Board of DMC Children’s Hospital of Michigan. He was the founding president of the Chaldean American Student Association at Oakland University in 2000, served as student body president of the Oakland University Student Congress in 2002 when he earned his undergraduate degree.
Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson honored him as an Elite 40 Under 40 in January 2017, and DBusiness Magazine recognized him in DBusiness’ 30 in Their Thirties in September 2017.
Miranda is the Director of Communications and Development at Steward Media. Her experience lies in event management, community outreach, marketing, and public relations. Miranda is passionate about strategic communication and assists in growing the organization.
Originally from Austin, Texas, Miranda earned a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations and Mass Communications with a Minor in Political Communications from Texas State University. Her interest in mass communications has given her the experience to identify important elements needed in any company.
Through various positions and internships, Miranda acquired essential skills needed to drive a company to success.
Upon graduation, Miranda decided to move to Michigan to live and work in the metro Detroit area. She is actively involved in the Public Relations Society of America, with an emphasis on the Detroit chapter.
Victoria is the Public Relations Coordinator at Steward Media. She has distinguished experience in event management, marketing, promotions, and account management. Victoria is enthusiastic about corporate communications and assists with driving the company in an upward direction.
As a Michigan native, Victoria is focused on finishing her Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations at Wayne State University. Her studies in mass communication have allowed her to acquire skills needed to run an effective campaign.
Through years of marking and promotional experience, Victoria has a background that allows her to creatively drive clients, as well as the company, into a successful future.
Victoria resides in the metro Detroit area where she is actively involved in community events, The Auto Show, and local politics.
