Description:

Young Catholic Professionals of Detroit held an Executive Panel Discussion on Wednesday, April 10. Steward Media’s founder and president Derek Dickow was on the panel which focused on living virtuously in the workplace. About 60 people joined and three panelists answer questions about what it means to practice the virtue of patience in their daily lives. The three-person panel consisted of: Sr. Solanus Casey, SOLT; Kathleen McCann; Executive Chairman of United Road Services; and Derek Dickow, Founder & President of Steward Media.

The event was moderated by Anne Graves, Evangelization Coordinator at St. Paul on the Lake Parish, and YCP Detroit Board Member. Executive Panel Discussions are quarterly events focused on living virtuously in the workplace. Afterwards, table leaders bring the discussion down to the individual level. At the end of the evening, a representative from each table shares their collective insights with the rest of the group.

Ms. Lea Wojciechowski Ross of Young Catholic Professionals commented, “Thank you so much for participating in our panel!  Your comments were very valuable and insightful, and I believe the audience very much appreciated you sharing your experiences and stories.  Our goal is always to learn from our executive speakers and panelists, who have more experience and often more wisdom than we as younger professionals do, so that we can improve and grow on our own personal, professional, and spiritual journeys.  Thank you for speaking openly about your successes and occasional failures, from which you learned so much, related to the virtue of patience.”
