More than 13,000 guests attended the 2018 North American International Auto Show’s Charity Preview, including Lieutenant Governor Brian Calley and his wife, State Representative Julie Calley.
Considered the “Auto Prom”, the Charity Preview is an annual black-tie affair held at the Cobo Center where guests get a firsthand look at one of the country’s most highly anticipated auto shows.
NAIAS Chairman Ryan LaFontaine announced the event raised $5.1 million for eight children’s charities — Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeastern Michigan; Boys Hope Girls Hope Detroit; the Children’s Center; The Children’s Hospital of Michigan Foundation; Detroit Auto Dealers Association Charitable Foundation Fund; Detroit PAL; the Judson Center; and the March of Dimes Metro Detroit. Since 1976, the Charity Preview has raised more than $112 million for Southeastern Michigan children’s charities.
